The word jack comes quickly to mind when we think of a device capable of raising heavy objects off the ground.
There are many types of jacks and while some are used exclusively for automotive purposes, others, such as the hydraulic bottle jack, are more versatile. Bottle jacks can be used for construction projects, such as holding up floor joists, decks or small foundations, or for bending metal bars.
